L.O.V.E. || Austin Proposal Photographer

When Gabi's best friend reached out to me about capturing Gabi and her boyfriend getting engaged, I was beyond excited! (Also, shout out to having a best friend that knows what you want. A little Pinterest stalking may have been involved too. Can you blame us??) When she reached out to me, I wasn't publicly offering proposals but said that I would of course do it because but they are some of my most memorable photo shoots. There's nothing quite like the adrenaline rush you get while you're hiding out and waiting to witness two people saying "yes" to each other for the rest of their lives. It is such a special and raw moment and I feel honored to be able to capture it for the couple so that they can savor this moment for years to come. After a lot of thought and prayer, I am NOW OFFERING PROPOSAL SESSIONS! I am so excited about this new opportunity and I am eager to meet more couples as they share this amazing moment together.

Zach and I were looking at the forecast all week because there was a high chance of rain. He had a back-up plan, but we REALLY wanted plan A to work. So, we took a chance! When we arrived at the Long Center, the sun was shining and the weather was perfect! When Gabi's mom texted Zach to say that they had arrived, we got in our spots and waited anxiously. As we were waiting, the temperature dropped about 10 degrees, the wind picked up, and dark clouds rolled in. The rain was seriously minutes away, and I looked up into the sky and pleaded with God. It's not my proudest moment, but I laughed to myself and said out loud, "Lord, I'm sorry, but you have to hold the rain off right now. You can let it rain the minute after he gets down on one knee, but not now." A minute later, Zach gave me the signal that Gabi was walking up the stairs and I said again, "Here we go. Not now, Lord." Gabi walked up the stairs and to her surprise, saw her boyfriend waiting for her at the top. Zach was supposed to be "working" out of town, so seeing his face was a HUGE surprise for Gabi. They greeted each other and he took her hand and went on a little walk to the spot that he would ask her to be his wife. You can tell from the images that Gabi was completely caught off guard, but so overjoyed! They enjoyed a few minutes together before I introduced myself and got a few pictures of them as an ENGAGED couple! We had about five minutes together and then the rain started. I looked up at the sky, laughed, and felt God winking at me.

Gabi and Zach, I wish you a life full of love and laughter! Thank you for letting me capture this moment for you guys. I hope you always feel the joy that you felt on this day!

If you're wanting to book a proposal session with me, let me know by going to the contact tab above! I'd love to give you more information and get to know you!

Kia & Rhett || Fort Worth Engagement

Hello all! I hope you're having a great day so far! If not, just scroll down and these pictures will instantly put you in a better mood! Is it just me or does anyone else want to hug their significant other and tell them how much you love them after seeing engagement pictures? It gets me every time. I think I had a permanent smile on my face when editing these pictures of Kia and Rhett. They were such a fantastic couple and so easy to photograph! They were willing to do anything to get great pictures and I'm so glad that they had that attitude (even when I asked them to walk through tall grass after Kia told me how afraid of snakes she was). Kia, you're so brave! Congratulations to Kia and Rhett and I wish you all of the love in the world!

How sweet it is to be loved by you || Austin family photographer

Life is a funny thing, isn't it? It is constantly changing, evolving, and surprising me. This session reminded me of that. My husband and I were fortunate enough to be semi-high school sweethearts which means that we get to share a lot of friends and memories together. This daddy above was on the same baseball team growing up as my husband and I never saw one without the other. Where Sean went, there was Junior. When moving away to college, seeing Sean became less frequent but him and Junior were always back at square one when they were together. They never take anything serious, are always giving each other a hard time, and are constantly coming up with new business ideas. To see Sean in his role as a father and husband almost brought a tear to my eye. He is such an attentive dad who cares SO deeply for his wife and two kiddos. You guys, this is THE sweetest family I have ever met. Everyone was so happy, respectful, and down-to-earth. Big sister is almost 5 going on 30... but really. She loves her little brother and is such a good helper! Lutz family, your session is so special for me and I love seeing how your family is changing and evolving! Thank you for an amazing session!

While I was going to school at TCU and living in Fort Worth, I was able to visit my grandmother on a regular basis. We had so many great memories and I even brought my roommates along sometimes for a nice home cooked meal. Those times spent with my grandmother were some of my fondest memories together and now that I'm in Austin, I find myself missing the short trips to her house. As soon as you walk into her door, she greets you with a meal and dessert to follow. (Even if you demand her to take it easy and not cook, she still does. It's in her DNA.) Well, I was in Dallas a couple of weekends ago for work and my sister and I made a last minute decision to make the drive to Denton to see our grandma. Boy, am I glad that we did! As soon as we pulled in the driveway, Gappy (my grandmother) was waiting by the door to greet us (a tradition that I love). She had a pool set up for my niece to play in because she knows that it is one of her favorite things. Keep in mind, this day set a record for one of the hottest days recorded and my grandmother had just had eye surgery the day before. She played harder than both myself and my sister and you'd never know that it was 100+ degrees. One of our favorite things about going to Gappy's house growing up was her garden. She's always had beautiful plants, flowers, vegetables, etc. and we always joke about how she never gave any of us her green thumb. (Sorry to all of the succulents I've killed already. I really did try.) My niece noticed a tiny tomato from Gappy's garden and it was so cute to see her eyes light up once she picked it off the vine! She was so proud of herself. It reminded me of all the fun times we had at Gappy's house and I love to be able to see that through the next generation. My grandmother is SUCH a special woman and I thank the Lord for every moment we get to spend together. We love you Gappy!
