I had the honor of shooting at the beautiful One Eleven East in Hutto, Texas for a precious family session. It is a historic building that was built in 1893 and is now an event/studio space! It is a natural-light photographer's dream because of the ample light that pours into the space from the beautiful windows.

As we walked into the venue and set our stuff down, little Annabel was already on the move exploring the space and wanted to run around the bottom floor since it's a big open area. Since she preferred to be on the move, we moved with her! We were playing chase, spinning in circles, and dedicated a lot of time for tickles :) I love sessions like this because they require me to be on my toes and constantly ready to capture moments, but also because they are REAL moments! These moments are not posed or positioned, but simply photographing her as she wants to be. Does this make it more fast paced? Sure. But is it worth it? ALWAYS!

Champ family, you guys are so precious and I love when you guys are behind my camera! Thanks for sweating with me during this session as Texas decided to be about 90 degrees this day.

This growing family is absolutely precious and so much fun to photograph! We had fun dancing, playing with flowers, and giving snuggles! (No flowers were hurt in the making of these precious pictures!) Momma is pregnant with their third baby, and I know these two will be incredible older siblings! Dilworth family, you two make beautiful babies and I look forward to meeting baby E!

How sweet it is to be loved by you || Austin family photographer

Life is a funny thing, isn't it? It is constantly changing, evolving, and surprising me. This session reminded me of that. My husband and I were fortunate enough to be semi-high school sweethearts which means that we get to share a lot of friends and memories together. This daddy above was on the same baseball team growing up as my husband and I never saw one without the other. Where Sean went, there was Junior. When moving away to college, seeing Sean became less frequent but him and Junior were always back at square one when they were together. They never take anything serious, are always giving each other a hard time, and are constantly coming up with new business ideas. To see Sean in his role as a father and husband almost brought a tear to my eye. He is such an attentive dad who cares SO deeply for his wife and two kiddos. You guys, this is THE sweetest family I have ever met. Everyone was so happy, respectful, and down-to-earth. Big sister is almost 5 going on 30... but really. She loves her little brother and is such a good helper! Lutz family, your session is so special for me and I love seeing how your family is changing and evolving! Thank you for an amazing session!

1,400

Y'all.

Can I just be real with you for one minute?

1,400.

1,400 people looked at my website yesterday.

1,400 people saw my work in ONE day.

1,400 witnessed my passion and supported me in one way or another just by being interested in my page.

1,400 people saw that I want to help families who have children with developmental delays to capture that perfect moment that describes their family and children so perfectly.

1,400 people saw my gorgeous friends, family, and coworkers that have already let me take their photographs.

1,400 people.

Before I launched my new website and Facebook page, I was nervous to expose myself in a way that I never have before. When starting your own business, there's so much insecurity about what people will think of your work. I let my insecurities get the best of me right before I pressed the "publish" page by saying to myself, "Wait, the website isn't quite done! There's more that I can do!" Then, I had this overwhelming calm feeling of "you are right where you need to be". I pushed my insecurities aside and made one big click with my computer mouse.

The response I have received has humbled me. It has shown me how many great people I have in my life and how many great people they know as well. Networking is a funny and amazing thing, isn't it??

To the 1,400 people, THANK YOU. You've reiterated why I've quit my job, bought expensive camera gear, and have jumped into this business whole heartedly relying on Him. You are all so precious to me.

Now, let's get photoshoots going!
